The Drowned Son
H'noda Yuu
A gleaner of the Yuu family, researchers of Allag, aetherology, and plants. Noda was the eldest brother of the family's children, often butting heads with their rather strict and distant father. Ultimately H'noda's decision to become a gleaner was born of his desire to escape. To get away from his father and his oppressive rule.
This led to his downfall, a few years into his career as a gleaner he found himself in a brutal aetheric storm on the sea. Lost and hammered by the waves, his ship was overturned, and H'noda fell into the abyss of the ocean. In this moment he reached out in desperation. In his survival, he found his new life. A massive serpent, responsible for the crash, took him into his coils... Leviathan.
The next decade of H'noda's life was out of his mind. Totally lost to a Tempering to the Lord of the Whorl.
When the issue of Tempering slowly came to have solutions, Noda was one of the many captured by the Maelstrom and subject to these experiments. While he came back to the world of the awake, he was still suffused with a dangerous amount of water-aspected umbral aether. Active yet powerful. It is so bad that exposure to any more, kicking his balance just a little, causes him to start exhibiting more wavekin-like characteristics...
Name: H'noda Yuu
Age: Mid-late 30s
Physiology: Water-aspected Miqo'te, Seeker of the Sun
Origin: Sharlayan
Former Gleaner - For years before his disappearance, Noda was a promising young Gleaner right out of the Studium. It was only his unfortunate fall into the arms of Leviathan that ended this career, now he has left that life behind. But surely some gleaner from his past could recognize him even now...
Sharlayan Origins - Born to the Yuu family on Sharlayan, Noda and his sister H'naka both went through a similar upbringing and were frequently seen around the frigid white city. If you wish to have seen him during this time feel free to say so!
Leve Him Be - A frequent taker of leves since his return, it is about all he can find for work as an untempered sort. He is too ashamed to return to the gleaners and too wary to take work on ships.
Fight Pits - From the underground to the above board, if there is a fight pit, Noda has tried it. His depression over losing so much of his life has led him down a dark, masochistic path that makes him desire the rush of fighting.
OOC
Hi! I'm Hobie, I'm a 25+ RPer from Massachusetts. I've been roleplaying for over eleven years and I have developed a pretty chill vibe towards most forms of RP. However that doesn't mean it isn't still cool to ask before doing anything questionable. While the answer is probably yes, I would still prefer to have the benefit of talking things out OOCly if there will be consequences. (Such as darker themes and major injuries).I also tend to bend the lore a little bit on things we know little about. I don't do so in a way that leads to any sort of intense breakage I don't think, and I try to follow it where I can, but all-in-all I operate on a rule of cool mentality. (Which includes losing fights! I'm not saying that in a godmod way, I love losing fights). This is all my long-winded way of saying even if you don't like the concept of this character, reach out anyway! I have many, many fellas I can throw your way if my ideas interest you but the character doesn't.
